They had a quick paced short practice today. It was almost all offense vs zone defense. They were only on the floor about 1 hour. Then is was upstairs to film.
I only posted this to pass on a short conversation with Kruger. There were only two of us watching today. When they wrapped up Kruger made a point to come over and grant us some chit chat time. I asked coach what he could tell me about the perimeter defense. He said, "it wasn't very good." I asked what he thought was the reason for that. He said, "the main reason was that Alabama had very good and quick penetrating guards." Then he went on to say, "there is a line between defending aggressively and getting a foul called. Out guys probably need to get alittle closer to that line. They will figure it out." He didn't seem concerned. And of course, the staff and players were in a pretty good mood today.
