More of the same this morning. It was mostly conditioning and drills. There was a short 5 on 5 full court segment toward the end. But, it didn't amount to much. 4 on 4 in the half court was the longest segment. They have done a lot of that in the past when putting in defense.

One particular 1 on 1 defensive drill is worth mentioning. Hamilton displayed outstanding lateral speed and active hands. He was doing a very good job defending guards. He is quicker by a lot than one would think. Closing out on a 3 pt. shooter, not so good. It has become obvious after only two days by his level of involvement that the staff is committed to getting him up to speed over the next few weeks.

The effort is always there. Today, execution was much improved. It was a crisp enthusiastic practice. The shot makers today were Cam and Spangler. Cousins is so much better a couple of steps inside the arch than he is from outside. I wish he would figure that out. He and Woodard both got to rim for scores on outstanding drives and finishes a couple of times each.

Bennett showed up big blocking and altering shots and rebounding. Buddy and Hornbeak had typical good practices. But, weren't doing anything to really ring the bell.

There doesn't appear to be any walking wounded. I did ask Cam how his back was holding up. He said he was still taking treatments several times a week. But, so far, so good.

Thanks for the update! Really look forward to these.

Thanks again Gary

Are Hornbeak & Buddy practicing fully? I wasn't sure with their foot problems.

Question about Hamilton.. How is he compared to Fitz, so far? Does he appear to have any post moves? Is he athletic? I.e. can he jump? Does he look to be able to play good defense? Man if he could contribute this year what a bonus...

Hamilton has a long way to go. He isn't a stiff like the Jurick kid from OSU. But, he has a long ways to go. He seems to have enough athletic ability to eventually be a use full off the bench role player.

I haven't seen him in a scrimmage situation. Just drills. It is too early for me to have a really use full opinion about him.
