Practice on TV today

Since the telecast was almost everything except basketball, I could only pick out incidents here and there.

It looked like Maddie is back. She ran the floor well and moved well. Kay Kay did everything right, but her shooting suffered. Brickyard.

Nicole, both of them, did some good things.

Portia seemed a lot improved.

Derica seemed a bit more ready to play than I had anticipated.

Aaryn and Morgan are Aaryn and Morgan.

I didn't get a read on the other freshmen.

I'm in the middle of packing to move to Florida and went brain dead about watching practice. I had been really looking forward to it. DAMN!!! I need more feedback. Will SoonerSports TV carry it? Or anyone?
Dont move anywhere when you're 75.

I don't know who Coley is, but Sherri spent a lot of time talking to Coley on the court. Nicole?

My thoughts based on what we saw from this one practice: Peyton Little will be the best player on the team when she can play. Wow! I was impressed by "Coley," AKA Nicole Kornet. Kaylon looks good, and Felicia is slimmer than I anticipated. Nicole G. underwhelmed me. She's still too fragile. She kept getting pushed while shooting layups, and, of course, she missed them. I'm not sure how she expects that to be different when playing teams like West Virginia or Baylor. Everyone and everything else was about what I expected.

I agree Peyton looks good. Very glad she's a Sooner.

I would like to see the men playing harder but, that's just me.

If Sherri wants to run a 4 out 1 in motion offense, I don't think Kaylon is the person for the 4. She doesn't shoot well from the outside. She is much tougher in the paint than Griffin in both scoring, defense, and rebounding. Personally, I would like to see her start at center. But, if Sherri continues to go with Griffin, I think we will likely see Sharane at the 4 to give the movement and outside scoring needed in that type offense.

I would have liked to see more of the action rather than the commentators. I don't mind hearing them but when they go to the split screen it looks like that have the camera that is focusing on the court on top of the football stadium or maybe the student union.

Also why do they have to show Sherri so much. I don't mind looking at her but I really wanted to see the players and the action.

Another question in my mind is whether Sherri's use of the men really pays off. I know it probably makes the women play a little tougher but every minute that the men are on the floor is a development minute that five of the members of the team is not getting. That could also be a reason that Sherri is so reluctant to go deep. She seems to rotate a fair number of players in but we are still losing development time.

I thought KayKay looked very solid in the middle and was blocking out on rebounds really well. I couldn't tell who the blonde with the hair up was. I assume it was Payton Little. She looked really good. I did see Kellogg do some good things.

I think you are going to see a rotation of Griffin, Campbell and KayKay inside.

Anyone want to see more of the announcers?

Since the show was more about the announcers than the players or the practice, I'm not exactly sure what I saw. Irritating.

I notice that Sherri stopped to show Shaya and Felisha some defensive positioning. Shaya was son Kay Kay. Felisha was out front, top of free throw circle on defense. Felisha can run the floor like a guard. Due to the format, I didn't see either on offense. So much of the time, I didn''t even know who had the ball.

I notice that Sherri told Wyatt to shoot. Next time down the floor, Derica had absolutely beautiful form as she drained a three from the corner. She hit a couple of short jumpers.

Edwards had the ball a lot, but didn't seem to be productive with it. I never even noticed Gioya.

Experienced players seemed to have an edge, and it looked like Kornet and Maddie were more ready to play than Kay Kay.

I didn't notice Maddie handling the ball much at all. I think with the recent recruits and the roster, she'll be playing the "3" spot, while occasionally bringing it up to floor (like Whitney did sometimes).

I liked the looks of Shaya and Derica when it comes to the freshman. Peyton as well but she will obviously not play till next year.

I hate to be critical of anything when it comes to the OU team. I would have liked more of watching practice with the announcers in the background than the way it was done. I'm always appreciative of any glimpse of the team I can get though. Overall, it looks like we have the talent to have a really good team. Just please Lord, no more injuries.
