Prediction for Trae Young Thread

IF we get Young... how good can we be next year? Thoughts?

I think top half in conference for sure. Which would probably be top 25ish and at least 1 tourney win on the low end of that spectrum and fighting KU for conference champs with a top 4 seed and sweet 16 run on the high end.

Mark Price is the one that bothered me. He comes to OU along with ldwt356: the next year and we beat Memphis to advance to the final four ......and well I will always wonder what could have been.

Yes, you are right. We could have used Steve Hale too. The 3 of them together would have definitely won an NC, maybe more.

Didn't say it wasn't, but I still stand by if Pritchard was at OU then OU would be completely fine without Young.

Agreed. PP is more of a traditional PG. good ball handler, good passer, but can score, too. TY is more of an offensive threat from the perimeter and we quite frankly need a perimeter shooter. If I had my choice right now it would be Trae. Close call.

If we had gotten PP, we would have no chance at TY, but you've said that before.

Trae fits Lon's offense much better then PP.Not saying he wasn't a loss and hurt us but this soon to be verbal removes all the sting .
