OUHoop's William Jennings recently got in touch with the prep point guard from California for an update on his recruitment.

Lots more on youtube too

I know one player isn't going to change this thing around, but what's the realistic prospects of him being any better than the guys we have now? He's a great table setter and very good shooter, but defensively he's going to get screened out of every play and offensively he's not going to be able to get all the way to the bucket like he does now.

If we get him, we need fastbreak guys to go along with him. The fastbreak is triggered by rebounds and blocks and we don't have the high level rebounder and shot blocker. I've seen where one guy might be available.

Next year with Osby and Goff we should have a much better handle on the defensive boards. I mean seriously Fitz is our biggest man on the floor at maybe 6 7 right now.

We need talented playmakers who can score and this kid looks like he can bring that to the table. If we had a legit PG who knew how to set up others for open looks and/or easy baskets our offense would look a lot better then it does.

One thing that I took from the interview with Guerrero is that he referred to Bryan Goodman a lot. He also mentioned that KU was recruiting with two assistants. I don't like to speculate on recruiting, but right now I'd say it's OU and UCLA at the top.

I hope OSU isn't recruiting him, about the last thing they need is another slight point guard. They really need a big time shooter out on the wing. D'Angelo Harrison would have been perfect, of course. :(

OSU looked at him briefly in the fall, but don't think that is the case now.

Well it looks as if they're back in on him.

For Capel, this kid is a must get. Not because he'll change direction of the program, but just solely on personnel need.

Rivals is reporting the Guerrero's list is growing, but all the names on his list are consistent with the names on the list he gave me a a month ago. Kansas may become a big player in the pursuit of the Cezar as his stock continues to rise.
