William Jennings caught up with Gabe York out of Orange Lutheran in California for an update on his recruitment. He is a 2012 combo guard who played against Cezar Guerrero in front of an OU assistant coach this past Tuesday.

Also there are notes on a wide group of 2011 and 2012 Sooner basketball recruits.

KU might be getting involved with Cezar? Thats just wonderful .

Cezar Salad?: Look for Kansas to toss it’s name in the mix for OU’s top 2011 target, Cezar Guerrero, of Bellflower, Calif. With the lingering recruitment of Deandre Daniels, Kansas may extend an offer to the speedy PG. Daniels, currently at IMG academy in Florida, is originally from California and is a good friend of Guerrero. One source told me that Kansas coach Bill Self really likes Guerrero’s game and that Jayhawk assistants Curtis Townsend and Danny Manning are scheduled to watch the explosive scorer soon.

Noooooooooooo!!!!

Great report, WJ! There is not a reporter anywhere who does a better job of keeping fans informed about OU recruits. You're the best!!! :clap

NINO will prolly commit to Kansas along with Cezar in the next two weeks and this will be a huge blow to the Moral for the future.

I hope my article didn't mislead to thinking Kansas was a leader for Guerrero. I still think OU is in very good shape with him. The main thing with Guerrero is to watch to see if he takes a visit anytime soon. He hasn't taken one since he's left Norman.

As for 2012, there are a lot of prospects that OU will be pursuing. They like two juco kids at Hutchinson a lot and we'll see if any offers come out of that situation. Gabe York is a kid that OU again is going to have to fight some very good schools to get.

De'Ontae Hooks a freshman shooting guard from Kansas City and Quantel Denson Of Grandview Missouri are the prospects at Hutchinson that OU is looking at.
