Prospect Watch: Millwood Falcon Invitational Tournament

Johnson is a decent comparison. The one thing that he does really well is rebound and block shots for a guard. I think he has the potential to be a lockdown defender. It seemed as if he was pressing a bit with Capel in the audience.

Once again, he is a shorter version of Austin Johnson. Really, really skinny with long arms. I never saw AJ do much before he had his rash of injuries, but it was often discussed how amazingly athletic he was

That's why I think Self wants him so bad, from everything I've read he has the potential to be a really good defender.

From the video that I've seen he's on another level athletically from Austin Johnson.

Yeah, I'm nreot feeling the Johnson comparison. I feel he was really pressing it with some coaches in the crowd. I thought OU didn't have a chance initially, but now I'm starting to think they're making up ground.

So you think he plays right away at OU? Like as in a starting role?

2012, Pledge will be a Senior, Clark will be a Junior so not really thinking he'll start. I think he'll play a ton though. Not at the pg. He's not going to be a pg at KU so it depends on their sgs and combo guys. Johnson will be a senior, Woolridge will be there, McClemore will probably be there as well. Then you got Sulaimon out there who is probably looking at KU and UT right behind Duke, Paige, the pg from Iowa, so KU may be deep at guard positions. They'll still sign Nino, but he's not as polished as Ben and Woolridge. Alot of it just depends on who KU signs and with the deep class, I think they'll sign a few top notch guys who already have the IQ and polish to step in right away.

Yeah, it will be really interesting because his is more of a Darnell Jackson situation for KU. If he goes there it will be because he really believes it's the best long term choice knowing he won't get a ton of early playing time.

When I saw him play, I felt he had a bad game. But his oncourt demeanor was definitely not typical of kids who have bad games. Played hard throughout the game and did other stuff besides looking for his shot. A couple of times his coach really got after him hard. He showed no attitude and just went out there and kept playing hard. He's an effort kid.

I love hearing that. Balanced against most of what I see on the HS level that is pretty rare. I'm hoping to go see Douglass on Friday night. I wish their kids had the same type of attitude. Stevie Clark seems to be a great all around kid, I've never heard anything bad about him from any of my dealings with Douglass.
