I don't live in Oklahoma (moved away in 2000) and have never been much for recruiting because it's such an inexact science.

However, I'm curious if the state of Oklahoma has any good small school players that are maybe worth a scholarship? Some really good players have come from small (3A or smaller) Oklahoma high schools and most were fairly unsung.

Ryan Minor
Bryant Reeves
Rotnei Clark
Keiton Page
Chianti Roberts
Taylor Griffin
Blake Griffin
Randy Rutherford
Royce Jeffries
Eric Coley

He's from Bridge Creek and he's already signed with Gonzaga.

Wow! A Bridge Creek kid who is going to Gonzaga?

The small school I attended was in the same conference as Bridge Creek, but this was before OKC started to grow into the BC area. In fact, I think the kids who were my age were the first 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade classes at Bridge Creek.

The school I attended still doesn't have a high school though...:(

What about the Qualls kid from Stratford? I seem to remember him putting up monster numbers.

Bridge Creek is a 4a school about 500 kids 9th-12th...
Qualls from stratford is a 2a about 200 kids 9th-12th..

I would like to see OU try and get the top player in state every year. Now this year is kinda a weak year. But I would like to see OU get the PC guard. Can't think of his name(Raney maybe) or someone like that.

The recruiting is too good. small talent doesnt last past the 8th grade. okemah has a good team, but no d1 talent.

Watched Qualls vs Booker T in the TOC in Tulsa last month. He's a good shooter and seemed crafty but Booker T bottled him up and he didn't get anything going. I maintain that with Spangler signed if OU goes after instate kid it should Josh Richardson out of Edmond Santa Fe. I'm also not opposed to them holding onto to open ships for 2012.
