Refs were horrible...way too many quick whistles!

If they were calling it close then most of the fouls called on the Sooners were legit. But if they were calling it close then a number of fouls by Hawaii were not called.

The technical on Buford was particularly bad. At the end of the play Buford turned back to the court and brushed against the Hawaii player. I don't think he even knew the guy was in the area as both were off the end of the court. How many times have you seen guys bump into each other at the end of a play with nothing called.

I don't know what happened with the Hawaii player who got T's because I had long ago turned down the sound.

In the second half they really covered our outside shots and put a lot of pressure on the ball. We adjusted and went to the hoop. We took some poor shots but also took a number of shots where we were clearly fouled with no call. They also had good shot blockers so sometimes it is hard to tell the right call.

I wondered about the call on Lattin on the three point shot. The replays never showed contact with the player. They only showed one view so you couldn't tell. The more important issue is that Lattin should not have been trying to block the shot from that spot.

I am always reluctant to say we lose a game because of officiating but it clearly affected our play last night. I don't remember the officiating in the K-State loss last year but clearly remember we lost because we didn't control Foster.

Our guys closed the game out pretty good and escaped with the win on the other guys court. Hopefully we can do that in the conference.
