Regina Tisdale presents Trae Young with the Wayman Tisdale Award

Regina Tisdale, the widow of Sooners great Wayman Tisdale, got a call a while back.

The Wayman Tisdale Award, given to the country’s top freshman, was being presented in St. Louis this year instead of Oklahoma City.

Did Regina still want to go to the banquet?

“Absolutely,” she said. “A Sooner is winning.”
