my dad worked for a corparation that sponsored the Creighton Blujay bash in Omaha annually, and normally Eddie Sutton would be the coach they would get to come in for it but he could not come in one year and Rick Majerus was invited and came in instead. My dad did not know much about college basketball but said that he was a nice and funny guy and was very easy to work with and he even got me his autograph. RIP coach Majerus.

Great coach, loved the fact that he never played basketball and just loved the game so much that he hung around Marquette long enough and was persistent enough that Al McGuire gave him a job.

He will be missed.

Met him when I went to a basketball camp in Cali over Spring Break one year. He had his own menu item at this hole in the wall Mexican joint in Orange County. He was also meeting some recruits there! Neat guy!
