I would be quite surprised if we landed any of them. Maybe Tot is a possibility, but I don't see her ranked anywhere in any of these polls so how good can she really be, if we're being honest with ourselves? I know some SC fanatics have said she's the best point guard in Texas, is she really though? Very doubtful that she's better than Sarah Andrews, who's actually ranked. Not much is going to change with our recruiting. Yes we may Land one top 50 player per class but we won't pull in the 4-5 top 100 play your class that we need so desperately to get back to being a top 10 team, not with this coach. I truly hope I'm proven wrong but I haven't been over the last few years

If I felt as negative as some people do, I think I might find something else to do with my time other than to follow a team that caused me such unhappiness.

Incidentally, if you had read any of the posts about Tot, you might have noticed that it was HS coaches from Texas who made the comment that she was the best point guard in Texas, not an SC fanatic.

Agree.

Saying Tot is the best point guard in state doesn’t sound realistic, it’s about 4 point guards from Texas all ranked whiles she’s not, that doesn’t mean she won’t turn out to be a great college player, but I can’t see her being better then Andrews, Kelly, or Turner at the moment...

But I agree I’m also sick of seeing OU fans diss the program all the time, and glorify Texas and Baylor...

“As a coach, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to run into a player like her,” Griffin said. “Nevaeh has been a special kid. Her work ethic is off the charts. She continues to work on her game and is one of the hardest girls to guard one-on-one. I’ve had some coaches tell me they think she’s the best point guard in the state.”

Nevaeh Tot – 2020 – 5-3 – Point Guard – DFW Elite 16U EYBL – Smaller point…Can score the basketball…Under the radar to some but a known commodity in Dallas…Good handle and dish…No issues against athletic press…Streaky shooter off the bounce

I have never seen Tot, nor Andrews. I have seen inadequate clips to evaluate, I did see the statement from Blue Star that Tot was well-known in Dallas.

As far as rankings go, the two girls for whom I included Prospect Nation rankings were top ten prospects who simply didn't work out.. I don't know how much of a chance that Scott-Grayson got. But, Kim didn't waste any time getting rid of her, if that is the appropriate verbage. Baylor is recruiting Andrews and another top ten quality PG who they seem to want more than Andrews. So, you lose Morris and Scott-Grayson and get two new ones?

I thought when I saw her in AAU that Plumley was as good or better than Patterson. Kind of like Ellenberg, but not the skill set or shooting ability. As I remember, she shot about 22% from 3 and 29% from two for Texas, averaging about 3 ppg. I don't think Texas saw a future there.

We had a point who was rated almost as highly, Tatum. I think Tatum was actually better than they were as a freshman, and she has a lot to learn. Seemed to have more of an attitude that she was willing to learn.

Tennessee had a top five guard who is transferring to UConn this year. The difference is that she IS good, Edwina Westbrook.

You just can't be sure of ratings.

No question the ratings by the services are significantly less reliable than they are for the football and MBB. Better than nothing for the fan but very hit and miss. Too few evaluators for the women's game to get a reliable consensus. Also to few area camps.
