I don't think OU made much of an effort to get him when he left Arky. Would he have made much a difference in the current OU team or would it have been just a waste of a 1 year deal?

No doubt! Welcome back to him today with 26 points!!

Couldn't be further from the truth.

He was interested in OU but was waiting to hear on NCAA sanctions from the Capel disaster.

He couldn't wait any longer so he went to Butler (not saying he would have come to OU but it wasn't an option at that point).

He was almost a done deal to OU, possible NCAA trouble scared him. Heard rumors there were coaches telling him that. (Doubt it was Stevens)
Would have been huge for this team.

He would have made us a sure tourney team. And I hope everybody on here that doubted him is seeing that he can run a team if he needs to. AND lead them in scoring at the same time!!

Sucks that we missed out on Clark, but glad the Capel mess is behind us so we can land a player like this next time.

I always wanted him, but he pi$$es me off cause I thought he was coming twice.

One of the things I heard was that OU backed off after he visited. Always hard to tell when you only hear things from one side. I never heard from Rotnei's side.

Good to see he is doing well at Butler. Good to see Oklahoma HS kids do well.

To quote Norman Dale: "I would hope you would support who we are. Not, who we are not." IMO this dead horse has taken enough of a beaten.

We wanted him but he wouldn't make a decision. OU finally told him it was time to decide and he wouldn't so the scholarship offer was removed. He wanted us to reconsider but Coach Kruger doesn't play games.
