Rotnei

He can shoot but any team that sets it's mind to it can severely limit him. Same thing with Page.

Not with other good players around them you can't. It makes it much tougher.
Plus even if you limit him, his ability to shoot makes team focus on him and opens things up for the inside game. He's a lot like Jeff Boschee and Boschee was a big part of why Collison and Gooden had so much room to work. Same with Lee Humpherey on the back to back national champ Florida teams.
Keiton Page and Rotnei Clarke can be major factors for any team in the country.

Agree.
I would love to see him at OU.

this OU team needs more indian mentalties, there's already three or four other chiefs, don't see room for another one

Rotnei Clarke would be eligible in 2012. The chiefs will probably be gone and who's to say Rotnei Clark can't be an indian?

well if he's transferring because the offense isn't run through him, that has Chief Melikestoshoot Rotnei written all over him

A poster on OUI says Rotnei Clark wants to be Andrea Riley when he grows up.

I agree that Rotnei is limited but as a third option (like Page), he would be terrific for OU's team.

Ya but he thinks he is a first option.. The kid is a great shooter but a headcase I don't want any part of him

Someone mentioned on here that the rumor of him transferring was due to him not getting enough shots...not sure that is our answer.

I watched some games when Fortsen came back and he definetely straight up refused to kick it out to him on the drive. Not here to defend Clarke, but his numbers tailed off when the point guard came back. not typical.

How certain is it that he wants to leave cause he is not getting enough shots? If that is really true, it is not a good sign.....Roy Williams going after him? Bill Self? I just don't see it.

We dont need another head case. If hes leaving for selfish reasons then I dont want him here, we have enough of that going on.

Are you serious? His profile is high enough he could go any and everywhere. Why would he want to go to two failing programs? Wouldn't be suprised to see Roy or Self to make a run for him.

Uh, no.

I never really saw an Arkansas game, so I don't know if he was greedy or not. But I do remember reading somewhere that his dad named after ex-OU football player Rotnei Anderson (the back-up fullback behind Lydell Carr for a couple of years).

You guys are idiots if you think there's not a scholarship spot for a guy that can shoot as good as he does. Look last year and Duke gave a scholarship Seth Curry, a guy who is similar to Clarke. Tyrel Reed, Brady Morningstar, Bobby Fraser, and Justin Watts have received scholarships from Self and Williams. All of those guys are lesser than Clarke. The question is will he buy into a role on those teams or look for a place to star. If he want to star he might go to Gonzaga a school that offered him early.

But the difference between him and our wanna-be chiefs is he can actually make his shots. Prolly not gonna be the answer to our problems on d, but a 41% career 3 pt shooter has a spot about anywhere. Especially when they are the guy apposing defenses are keying on. He hardly ever gets an easy open shot.

I could see him going to Gonzaga. I dont see him coming to OU, or UNC/Duke for that matter. I also don't see him going to Tulsa or ORU like some think.

Gonzaga makes the most since to me. It's not like he needs to be closer to home. Arkansas is pretty close already. And I doubt that he's going to want to leave a 14-18 team to come to a 13-18 team.

New job for dad?

Clark's numbers may have tailed off, but the Hogs became much more competitive and actually won some SEC games. Wonder which is more important to him? Shots/scoring or winning? Because when he was putting up the big numbers they were not beating any good teams.

ur right. Fortsen is the best player on that team by far. I did notice him pass up on the kick out pass alot though.
