First on Tyler, I guess he was a having a real bad night as his jumper wasn't falling at all. Even then I am not a big fan of his shooting motion, over his shoulder with a low release point. Then he just didn't look very athletic plus is only about 6'6 and wasn't that physical. Overall not a good showing for him and I just don't think he is an OU scholarship guy based on what I saw tonight.

On Dom, he has a very nice first step and get it to the hoop and finish. Plus he had a couple dunks tonight so he has some hops. But the two things holding him back in my opinion are his size and his jumper. Maybe it was just an off night since he does have nice form but he wasn't hitting. Even though he wasn't hitting he wasn't afraid to shoot it, took one from about NBA range. ESPN's profile lists him as 6'4, and it is a very generous 6'4 as he looked closer to 6'1 or so. Really think Raney's future college position might be the 1, as he looked to have some good court vision and is athletic (plus long wingspan) enough to be a good defensive 1 if he puts his mind to it.

Also Fields for West (signed with TCU) might be a diamond in the rough. Very athletic, not too skinny has decent handles and appears to be 6'7/6'8.

Coach Capel was in the stands tonight as well.

Thanks for the report, Sam. Great job! Can't say I'm pleased to to hear that Neal didn't have a good game, though. I was hoping he would turn out to be a "diamond in the rough."

As for Fields, I think we may be asking ourselves how OU let him slip through the cracks in the next year or two? He looks like a heck of a player.

I was there too and I'm definitely not sold on Neal. He has some skills but I see him more as Missouri Valley type player. Seems like a good kid and gave great effort though.

I mean, let's say we had five ships and we landed N'Diaye, Jones, West and another juco type, I wouldn't be all that opposed to giving this kid the last scholly. But if we only have three to give I think we should do better.

Now Dom Raney and Amric Fields are ballers. Fields jumps out of the gym at 6-8, blocks shots, crashes the boards, quick, and can shoot the three too. I think TCU got a steal here. He probably needs to add 10-15 pounds.

Like sam said Raney isn't 6-4. He may be 6-2 tops, but man is he quick. And he was going up against some pretty quick guards from PC West. His jumpshot didn't look good tonight, but he did everything else. Great run/jump athlete, quick first couple steps, slasher etc.

I'll be surprised if we don't offer and will be interested to see how highly recruited he will be.

Just for info, Neal hasn't played in over 2 weeks with an ankle injury. That could have a lot to do with his play. I definitely think Fields could be a kid that ends up being really good at TCU. I think Neal could end up being a really good college player and OU should take a look at him to fill out a class. You might as well sign him if you are going to sign a throw away JUCO.

raney could be the back up pg this year. He's that good in my opinion. Neal might be a guy that could develop into something down the line. Fields seems to be one we missed the boat on.

I definitely agree on Fields, though it's funny that Neal has been the better player all year and out produced him in most games. The thing that surprised me about Fields is how well he shoots the ball as well. He can hit the 3 and gets incredible lift on his jump shot.
