Noticed that he was not drafted. I'm suprised nobody mentioned that on this board, unless I missed it.

Speaking of that class, does anybody know what Tony Crocker's plan are for future basketball?

I have to say i'm a little surprised no one took a chance on either of them...

But for them it is better they didnt get drafted, now their agent can find the best fit for them on a roster that might be light in PG's or SG's...

I was wondering about Crocker too. Anyone know if he is looking into playing overseas or if he has decided to hang it up in exchange for being a dad? I don't think anyone has mentioned what Crock's options are/were.

The future is bright for Tony, whatever he decides to do.

That's great for Tony! Got his degree and looks like a great family.
He'll play overseas somewhere and make a nice living. I always liked Tony and he stuck with OU thru all the turmoil and seemingly never complained and just played.

Agreed!!

Thanks for the post on Sherron Collins. I hadn't thought about him not getting drafted. Reynolds, I could see because he's a high-volume shooter that played PG and is not big enough to be a SG in the NBA. But Collins is a polished PG that has some athleticism and strength. I thought somebody would take him, maybe in the 1st round.

Crock has a better shot at making the league than Collins and Reynolds. He definetely can play a Tony Allen type role.

Tony Allen is far more athletic, better defender and finisher at the rim. Crocker will not make the NBA.

6'6" Wing that is athletic, but a streaky shooter and a solid defender.

6'4" SG that is athletic, but a streaky shooter and an excellent defender.

Tony Allen improved his jump shot and dribble drive once he got to the NBA. If Croker can get a consistent outside shot, he would have a shot.

We'll see what he shows at Mavs Pre-Summer League mini-camp. If he can get on a Summer League team, he will at least get a look. That can mean a big contract in Europe or a shot at the D-League.

To me Sherron not getting drafted is more surprising than Reynolds. Sherron seems like a perfect backup PG in the league.

No one said he wasnt. But thanks for defining the role I was getting at. For Crock to make it he has to rely on Athleticism, defending, and transition finishs. Crock also needs to be able to be a spot up off the ball shooter.

Crock is a better shooter than Tony Allen. However, I agree that he's not quite as athletic.

To compare Crocker to Tony Allen is laughable. Tony Allen was a big 12 POY and a first round draft pick. If a guy like Marcus Dove can't make the league, playing the roll of a lock down defender then Crocker for sure won't. He will join players like Obi playing in Europe and making a nice living. There is definitely no shame in that.
