There goes the Buff's low post presence.

Men's basketball center Shane Harris-Tunks is out of the season after suffering a torn ACL in practice Thursday. The 6-foot-11 sophomore, who added 25 pounds in the offseason to get to 250, was slated to start and help the Buffs who were last in rebounding a year ago.

From my Bold Big 12 Predictions: "Colorado will make the big dance."

Guessing that one will not be right...

Dang, that's a tough break for their program. Staying healthy will be a key for us as well.

Big blow to CU as they have post depth issues similar to Oklahoma.

Here is Goodman of Fox.com take on it.

No one outside of Boulder has likely ever heard of Shane Harris-Tunks.

And why should they?

The 6-foot-11, 250-pound Aussie averaged a mere 1.8 points and 1.6 rebounds per game a year ago for ex-Buffs coach Jeff Bzdelik.

But Harris-Tunks’ torn ACL suffered late last week is a devastating blow to a team sorely lacking size.

``He was a big guy and a consummate glue guy,” new Colorado coach Tad Boyle. ``We don’t have anyone else like him.”

More here.

Dang, I was really looking forward to the showdown between Thompson and Tunks in Norman.
