I know that Sharane isn't filling up the scoreboard right now but, I really liked her game last night. I don't know that I've seen any player play harder than she did last night, particularly on the defensive end.

I think most expected she would be a 15 point scorer this year and she may yet. But, she is doing a lot on the court right now other than scoring. I believe she could/will increase the scoring starting any day now. Until then, I hope she just continues to play hard and good things will happen.

I think a lot of her struggles this year have to do with playing with so many new faces. She had several seasons playing with Hook and Ellenberg and the threat of Vegas from outside and also Hook occasionally launching a long one kept people off Sharane.

As Carter and Little begin to emerge the pressure should be off her more and she will better understand how to contribute as she grows more comfortable with them.

Also there seems to be less demand on her to score now. We are winning with her scoring in single digits.

Sharane has something new to learn. She now has some distributors that can get her the ball. But, she has to take advantage of it. Both Sharane and Kay Kay have had a little fumblitis, losing opportunities. Sharane has lived on driving and getting fouls. That isn't happening this year. They are blocking her shots as she gets too close to the tall trees. She needs to stop and hit that ten-footer and catch it when she gets it.

I don't know that she has ever had a bunch of girls around her who could create opportunities for her.

How many scoring opportunities on the wing for a three did Maddie create last night, and how many actually hit the shot?

The play where the UT big pushed Sharane halfway across the court and the foul was called on Sharane, her reaction was priceless.

I don't know how you react. I think Sherri might have been fined had she just called time out and had the team stare at the official.

Laughing was the only thing she could do, it was such a ridiculous call.

If that wasn't the worst call I've ever seen, it certainly made the top 3.

Is it a fine if they show the team laughing in the video that they send to the Big Twelve office?

I did not know what to expect from her after last year. To me she looks like the player she was as a sophomore. After last night, wow, she was fantastic. She is back to her freshman and sophmore free throw shooting, her assignment was Nneke most of the night and she did phenomenal (as an aside, believe Nneke will be taken in the wnba at the latest as the 5 pick, but think she will go sooner and she will probably start on that team). I don't know how many times she tied someone up. Just played tremendous defense. Hurried the two threes she shot, but 3 pt shooting for ou as a team was terrible last night. Got a couple of shots blocked but so did some other players. I don't know if she becomes a 15 pt scorer because I don't know tht she will get the opportunity. But she looks to be back. Really happy for her.
