Sherri with another article

Perceptive and thoughtful as usual. Looking back to 15 -18 years ago the changes are clear.

Sherri left readers wanting more with this article. For example, she didn't state what she thought needed to be fixed or what the warts were that were laid on the table.

I think she allowed for a perceptive readership. We know some of the problems: consistent able refs, scheduling so as not to be buried by March madness, a change in character of the game moving away from skill and toward cage fighting, inappropriate influence on recruits. It's not "Oceans Fourteen" with all the loose ends neatly tied up for you. One needs to use ones own brain.

I don't think she's talking about her opinions as much as the summit's decisions. The report makes for interesting reading. There are several areas where they've reversed previous decisions because they just didn't work. An example is abandoning the predetermined sites for the 1st and 2nd rounds and going back to having the top 16 seeds host. Also moving the Final Four to a different week from the men.

I'm impressed that our coach is one of the movers and shakers called upon to decide the future of our sport.
