So for some odd reason I was watching the Bobcats/TWolves game last night. I see Sherron Collins come into the game to play a couple minutes and the announcers immediately comment about his size.

Congrats Sherron, you look to be the 1st 5 8 300lb PG I have ever seen play in the NBA.

Sadly, OU's basketball team is so uncompetitive that Cheno doesn't frequent here much because he views OU as no threat to the Kansas empire. I'd check the Kstate boards for him.

I honestly can't believe he is in the league. I love the kid and think that when he's in shape he's definitely an NBA player but that just hasn't been the case.

I think he lucked out that Larry Brown loves KU and loves the type of player that Sherron is/can be and has given him a chance.

Conditioning is everything when you're undersized like Collins. He was between Ty Lawson and Byron Eaton in playing style and size. He strongly tilted to the Byron end of the spectrum.

Word of advice from a guy that use to weigh 300lbs, 100lbs ago. Bigger close don't make you look smaller.

Those pictures don't do him justice. It's been almost a month since preseason ended. Add another 15-20 lbs onto those pictures and you may have an accurate depiction of him currently.

I think Sherron is learning to love NBA road trips and the stipends that accompany them. Buffets baby.
