Lakers put up 40 in the 1st quarter. D'Antoni was the perfect hire to exploit all their talent.

Kobe stepping up in Nash's absence, facilitating and getting Artest, D-12, and Gasol the ball......... So glad Mr Princeton Offense is gone.....

not the example i would go with, but i agree with the premise. as a thunder fan, i'm more worried about the lakers offensive potential under d'antoni.

World Peace is in tip top shape. His motor is running full speed.

Well if they're "back" then someone should have informed the Nets ... because Brooklyn is hanging tough.

Lakers win by 5 missing 18 free throws playing without a pg in a pg centric system. They have to get healthy but if Nash gets back & Howard keeps recovering from his back issue they are going to be nasty tough.

"What was the best flop tonight? out of the three?i am so happy the nba charges $5000 per flop......" World Peace tweeted. "The two gerad wallace flops were crazy..lol i am on the court like"what in the world"!!! it is crazy because i am still strong but quicker. i was so nervous when gerald wallace flopped twiced.lol i thought the ref ws going to call a foul on me.. Nick Batum got me in portland.

"i can see overseas players flopping but not american players.. they made the rule for the overseas players.. but now its out of hand..... the refs did a good job on the gerald wallace flops... but they missed the reggie evans flop.... its ok.. they will catch the next ones ... You can not flop and play for brooklyn..!! Brooklyn equals , red bricks, streets, the gutter, marcy, soul in the hole, gershwin park,etc..."

there are rumors that Nash will be much later and Bynum will never be coming back for Philly.

Wow, are you talking possibly a career ender for Bynum???? If so that would be a huge problem LA escaped. I would hate to see his career end.

On Nash, I believe his injury is more serious than LA is letting on. That is the risk of signing a 40 yr old savior....

no, they're saying that Bynum will be out a few more months and it will be best for him to just stay out this whole season. Makes me feel bad for Philly because they went ALL IN on Bynum and they're taking a major bone job over this deal.

I still think the Dantonio decision was 100% correct, but he's saying that once Nash is back then the Lakers ills will be resolved "within 90 minutes". Problem is I hear he's not coming back 'til after the break if at all this season. I still wanna see him play with this group and the new coach so I hope that's not true .... but LA needs a point.

Nash has a fractured bone. Typical heal time for something like that is 6-8 weeks. No reason to rush him back. They don't care about what seed they get. Their goal is to be gelling in April. Anything before Christmas is meaningless.

As for it being after the allstar break no way that happens on a fracture.

Hope you're right. I wanna see them play together under Dantonio.
