One hearing anything about game time change for today? I'm hearing something about a double header but I don't know if they officially made the call? I think tomorrow is supposed to be the worst weather-wise. Don't want to pull an A& M this season and be 1 game short in the SEC standings if it comes down to it!

Clearly this Red River rivalry series has been too big and occasion for Kendall wells. She is 0-6 so far with her only time on base being a walk...

Currently tied 1-1 top of the third in Texas is getting at us with their fourth string pitcher, go figure. Pickering has also been equally pathetic as she struck out as I was typing this.. what a joke

Have not heard it mentioned by announcers during the game.

Edit: Well just heard it mentioned by announcers re possibility of no game tomorrow if weather is bad; however, nothing about a double header.

Boomer! Up 4-2. Had a good opportunity to add some more runs with bases loaded but Agbayani hit a fly ball to their outfielder.

These little fobbles right back to the pitcher that gauchino hasn't been able to convert into easy outs to end innings have cost us two runs already... Can't make these silly errors against a good team because they make you pay. The way our bats have been today, hot and cold, you got to get as much distance as possible. Should win this game but we will see..

They just intentionally walked Parker to get to Pickering for the third out because she's been so horrendous this series. Five strikeouts in six plate appearances if anyone needs clarification. I hope she has some fortitude and pride and makes them pay for that! And sure enough Pickering hits a little dinger right to first base for it and easy out. She's been absolute crap. She can't play defense so they don't put her in the field and when she can't play offense why is she even in the game at this point?

And yet, in spite of how bad you think they’ve played, we win the game 4-3 on a beautiful double play.

yep. all around good game against the best team we have seen to date....Guachino was great... and did great fielding... Lowry came in for seventh inning for a three up three down end to the game

Lowry came in to end the game and I think it threw their bats off even more which was a brilliant move by Rocha! They just couldn't make good contact pretty much all game long. The pitching is definitely coming along and once our hitting starts to look better watch out!!

To say Pick can;t play defense isn't correct. She is as good fielding the ball as Ella, but doesn't have near the arm. She will come out of this slump, hopefully soon.

I think that's more of my point as an outfielder. Ella's arm is elite. Pick's just needs some work. I wonder how she feels about the fact that she's not really been playing much defense this season? Could it potentially be affecting her headspace and in turn seeping over to her offensive performance? Probably not that deep but still I thought. She's definitely struggled more at the plate this season then her prior seasons as far as going through slumps during SEC series goes

Let's grow up a little bit why don't we? We can respectfully disagree (you don't have to like my observations) but when we start calling each other names or being defamatory that becomes a little too immature to ignore.

Well gasso has put in Zache, who got a good out in the last inning, but now they are starting to get a hold of her pitches and we have given up another bomb to Texas down 2-4 in the bottom of the fifth. The way our offense has looked I'd say it's pretty much it done deal but you just never know..

We got one run back in the 6th and then Stewart hit a bomb off of Parker to put them right back up by two runs, 5-3. I guess Patty is trying to test our younger arms to see how they will perform in a tough environment but I've got to feel that we could have ended up winning this game if we had pitched our ace or #2 again, like they have. I guess the series is already won but really wish we could have been able to sweep them!

Maybe we will.

EDIT: orrr maybe not...great series win by OU....Tx played tough, hung in there after we went ahead

Well we certainly gave it a good effort. Up 6-5 in the bottom of the 8th and Lowry gives up two home runs and they walk it off against us... If we hadn't given up FIVE home runs to them today we might have won 🤔 but I suppose getting the younger arms experience matters more?

I think maybe if she had been pitching more and had a little bit of time to warm up that wouldn't have been the case but she's definitely not a very good closer at least in these tough environment situations. Don't know who is on our staff though? I think everyone that we pitched actually had a home run hit off them today..

Another thing, if you're going to be concerned about developing your young arms and putting them in against the best team you've played in the third game why wouldn't you do the same with your bat? Pickering was doing absolute zilch the entire series and we've got players on the bench that can hit, why not try to develop them as well??
