Agree. Not too mention, If players don't get better from one year to the next then your looking at another .500 season...but fortunately that's not the case.

You know 04 survived the Pumpers vs Doomer and Gloomers during the KS yrs, the epic yr long fight Cheno had with Ireallyloveou, and of course the stuff that started with the JC going or staying debates.
Many of the old original posters from the old hoops board don't post aa much, and I'm sure that is alot of the reason. I miss 04, Trav, Syb, and many of the old crew. Many thought the in fighting would die once everyone was FINALLY happy with a new coach. The truth is in fighting is a big part of every message board I have ever joined.
It gets old sometimes, so you take a break. As much as I enjoy OU Football, and the off topic board, I deleted my acct and stayed away for over 3+ yrs. I recently joined Landthieves and have enjoyed it so far. If it gets tedious again, or becomes something negative I will exit again. If I know 04 like I believe I do, he would rather open threads without the constant fighting between the same old players.....
Just my 2 cents, and I'm not faulting anyone or calling anyone out, just interpreting what I THINK 04 meant.......

I hoped that was what 04 meant, but I just wasn't sure. The childish arguments do get old. I wonder how many posters take a permanent break because they grow tired of the nonsense.

Which is worse, posts that are actually arguing about OU basketball, or posts complaining about arguing?
It does get annoying. And I'm going to try and do my part to not get into it with gary. But there isn't a message board out there, especially a sports message board, that doesn't have it, to some degree.

In all fairness, 20 posts ago everybody had decided that they agreed with each other and the rest of the thread had been civil and informative until it got derailed again.

The difference is, if the former stops, the latter also stops.

You are correct but I did nail it about 10 days ago when it wasn't obvious to others on this board. I will pat myself on the back!
North Carolina nailed it about Sam being the third point guard on this team. He has improved and is a great kid but the freshman are better. LK is going to play up to 10 guys a game at least early in the season.
Pledger is a great shooter. He struggles in other areas but has improved some and will benefit from the freshman being on this team.

I didn't make a prediction as to what the starting lineup would be. What I said that seemed to cause so much anger and aggravation was that the starting lineup would be some combination of the starters from the red team and white team from that 1st scrimmage. That seemed to go against the conventional wisdom.
Since the correct answer seems to be trending exactly that way, there appears to be alot of shape shifting going on with some of those critics.
Yes I know! I have agreed with almost all of your observations. I did predict that lineup with some help from others. Although not in the offseason.
