When the Iowa st player (can't remember who) grabbed Lattins arm and sorta swung it I thought Lattin showed nice restraint in not escalating the situation further..
By no means was it a dirty play or anything like that but Lattin showed good maturity and intelligence for a true frosh in a situation where (especially at home) the crowd was into it and the emotions and adrenaline were flowing.

That was George Niang. Niang apparently thought Lattin poked his arm on purpose, but he didn't. Niang reacted in the heat of the moment, but I believe he soon realized that he had over-reacted. No big deal, really.

you're right ... Lattin WAS very mature about it.

Overall I have a lot of respect for the job coach has done with these kids as well as respect for the kids themselves. They handle themselves well.

Ditto.

Khadeem has grown up a lot in the last few weeks. I love his enthusiasm, his hustle and his nose for the ball in going after rebounds and loose balls. The maturity he showed in the play 1390 referenced was a sign of a solid family background, as well as good coaching by LK and his staff. He's going to be really good someday, and we won't have to wait too long to see it.

When he's in, I would like to see us ran a play or two for him on the block. He needs to get comfortable down there for the stretch run. We're going to run into foul trouble sooner or later.

I think this thread might be a tad overreaction. Lattin did raise his arms up but he also went toward niang and bowed up to him if i remember correctly. needs to just walk away
