There have been a number of really good posts in the last couple of weeks about our team, players, projected starters, type of offense, recruiting, etc. The surprising part is how few have posted their thoughts or ideas. Contrast that with a post about how terrible Kim is and posters we seldom hear from post repeatedly filling up two or three pages. Why is that?

I haven't posted on many of the threads that I call 'speculative' simply because I don't really enjoy those kinds of conversations. There's nothing wrong with them - just not my cup of tea.

Sometimes, I don't post because I don't know anything about the subject. We've had seveal threads about Maddie. I didn't get to see any of the games she played in so I don't get involved in the back and forth about how good she is going to be. I don't have enough information to make an informed comment.

A post of how good UConn or Notre Dame is would also generate few responses because most of the posters have somewhat of a positive image towards Muffet and Geno and the quality of their programs.

As far as I can remember, Kim and Baylor are the only person and program to draw the strong negative response elicited by Sally Jenkins and Michelle Voepel. There is a general disgust with the attitude of Kim, and I don't remember anyone else having the opinion expressed about them in the media that what they are doing is bad for women's basketball. Michelle Voepel is so committed to support of women's basketball that her remarks are so different from what she normally would say that it reverberates like the shot heard around the world.

One or two posters might have something negative to say about some other coach, but the distaste for Kim is very widespread. Negativity, as we have seen on this board, generates a lot more posts than positivity. In a sport in which all of the music is peaceful and serene, the sounds around Kim are like a bolt of lightning.

Isn't THAT the truth?!!!

There have been plenty of positive threads in the last 2 weeks. Did you post on them? Did you start some of your own positive threads?
