SoonerSports | Introducing: Jordan Shepherd

For some worried about him being such a late bloomer, or frail and small, he certainly didn't look out of place on the court in those videos. Hope he is willing to work like the two guys who are the reason he wanted to come here.

He is going to be a player!! All around game including good defensive ability.

Shepherd was a nice late addition to our 2016 class, following the news that Grandstaff would not be available during the second semester after all. I like the versatility he brings to the team in that he's a combo guard who can play the point if need be. He put up some solid numbers his senior season at Ashville Christian, averaging 19.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 2.1 steals.

If Strong has not fully recovered from his injury, or he is not ready to be a reliable back up to Woodard at the point, it's not out of the question the newest addition to our roster may be called on to show what he can do his first season. We know one thing for sure, LK will not hesitate to put a freshman guard to the test if he believes he can help the team.
