Sorry Pokes: Kansas just won the Big 12

Yes, I know that Self is a better coach than Cal, I just think KU will miss those four seniors more than you think.

This isn't the first time KU has lost 3, 4, or 5 players to graduation or the draft. Go back and tell me how they did each time that has happened.

Schools like OU and OSU might not be able to maintain a top 10 ranking after losing players like that. The KU's and UK's typically can.

Wiggins will "blow out of the water" the guy who is currently projected to be the #1 pick in the NBA draft? Give me a break.

I don't doubt that Wiggins is great, but I think you're also undervaluing McLemore there just a bit.

Don't have a dog in this fight, but wanted to comment on this. Chad Ford, the ESPN draft guru wrote an article today stating that 30 out of 30 GM's all agreed Wiggins would be #1 in this draft, without a doubt. McLemore is battling with a guy with 1 knee, and a PG that is not a sure thing whatsoever, so it's not completely crazy to say that Wiggins could and will be much better than McLemore.

Q: Would Wiggins really be the No. 1 pick in the 2013 NBA draft?

Every GM and scout in the league with whom I've spoken believes Wiggins would be the No. 1 pick in the 2013 NBA draft if he were eligible. Every one.

"Noel is a really good NBA prospect. He's just not a franchise-changing player," said one GM whose team will be in the draft lottery. "[However,] Wiggins is one of the three or four best prospects in the last decade. He has the ability to completely turn around a franchise. All 30 teams would take him with the No. 1 pick if they could."

Some more on the topic showing how good they think he will be

Q: Well, sure, he'd be No. 1 in this draft. The 2013 NBA draft is one of the weakest in memory, right?

"No," the same GM said. "In every draft since 2007. [Greg] Oden would've went ahead of him. If Kevin Durant couldn't beat him out, no one could. But Derrick Rose, Blake Griffin, John Wall, Kyrie Irving, Anthony Davis? Wiggins goes ahead of all of them. I'm not saying he'll be better than all of them. I'm just saying knowing what we know about them when they were in the draft and knowing what we know about Wiggins, he'd beat out all of those guys."

Rumor has it UK lost out on Wiggins when the Harrison twins posted the infamous "vine video." In the video, the twins talk trash on Wiggins, saying how they don't need him and use profanity towards him. The video, sadly, has been removed.

Thats not what happened at all.

ONE of the Harrison twins was in a car with friends, and a friend in the backseat said "F*CK Wiggins!"...

That's all that was said, and it was NOT said by either of the twins.

If they got Wiggins and Black, along with what they already have? No way. Not by the end of the year.

WHY THE LOVE FOR BLACK?!

As said earlier, he averaged 9 points and 5 rebounds in CONFERENCE USA!!!

He's not that good.

Kentucky is better at EVERY position minus SF.

And even at the SF position, Kentucky has Alex Poythress and James Young to throw at Andrew Wiggins, so it's still close.

Kentucky is also MUCH, MUCH deeper.

Before I can contribute to the ku-or-oswho debate, I have to ask: How's Wiggins at flopping?

Funny. 5 star recruits usually dont have to resort to flopping to have success. Obviously, one felt he had to for whatever reason. Also, programs like KU don't have to resort to that kind of crap to win games.

OSU pre-season debate: Where will we be ranked in the top 10 and will we win the Big 12?

OU pre-season debate: Can we even finish in the top half of our conference and/or make the NCAA tournament?

Sarcasm, right?

kansas does still need a point guard, though.

Oh yeah! KU doesn't need to flop but they do need AAU scumbags and runners for agents, it seems.
