I read thru the 1st page of the thread on the Cyclones message board hating on Spangler. What did he do that pissed them all off? You would think he'd pissed on the halfcourt line at Hilton Coliseum to get that reaction.

Edit: I missed the game so I didn't get to watch any of it, so it's a real question

He dominated Hogue on offense and rebounding today and let him know about it. I loved how Spangler got in his face after an off rebound and put back for an and 1. Great intensity and toughness shown by him, but that is becoming the norm for him.

Spangler has been so much more then I thought he could be - I know we have some big men coming in next year but really makes me wonder how good we could be this year if we had another legit big man who could rebound and defend right now.

I know this thread is about Spangler, but I thought for the most part DJ Bennett was everything we needed him to be this game as well. We need him to log about 10 minutes and get a couple big boards and get a basket or two... Did a much better job today and I think that helped us with Spangs on the bench. Just my two cents... I think by the end of the year we may have some quality out of DJ... But overall, what a great game by Ryan Spangler! Dude made himself enemy #1 in Cyclone country, just by kicking their butts! :woot
