**Special ticket offer for Central Arkansas game, Dec 30th**

Since this game comes during winterbreak for the students I have about 15 extra tickets for this game. Student tickets can be used by the general public for an upgrade fee which I believe to be only 5 dollars. So that means you can sit in the lower level or baseline for only 5 bucks.

A few of the tickets are email based so I can forward you them that way. Or we can set up a meet up date some other way.

These winter break games have always had really bad attendence. This year might be a new low. It is a bad season with a bad opponent falling in a historically difficult time to get fans to the game.

I would take you up on your offer but I'm using my tickets already to go with my wife. I would like to get a couple from you and pass them out to my friends, but nearly all of them (whether OU or OSU fans) have stopped driving to Stillwater and Norman for basketball games. They support their schools during football season but when basketball season hits they suddenly become die-hard Thunder fans. It's sad, but for the most part the only time they bring up OSU or OU basketball is to complain.

Sorry, I know this isn't the right thread to vent about such things. I just get really annoyed that I can't even drag people to OU basketball games......even when we were like 25-1 with the best player in college basketball posterizing people nightly.

The Thunder will never affect the core fan base of either the school but the walk up and fringe fans are gravitating to them for multiple reasons (new kid on the block, good marketing and they're winning games). If OU or OSU were both really good this wouldn't be as noticeable. But even with OSU putting out a good team this year (fringe NCAA team, likely NIT) they're not getting much past the core group. It will be an interesting dynamic to watch if you're interested in attendance as with the Thunder's young core they're likely to be good/very good for the next 5-10 years. OU basketball is struggling and the lack of fan support will not help matters and while OSU is good I don't believe Ford will have them reach the levels that Eddie did. So outside of the big conference games I'm not sure if the old GIA will be reaching "rowdiest arena in the country" status soon.
