Nobody knows the nature or extent of Gioya's injury - something about a "groin" problem. Whatever it is she is supposed to be back on the court shortly and people are assuming that she will give us a huge boost. If so, I think it will be in morale(which isnt a bad thing)and not on offense or defense. It will take her at least a month to get in game shape. Assuming her confidence arrives at the same time as her conditioning, she will not be game sharp which will take up to another month. Who knows how long she will take to get confidence back and playing at 100%. I think we are looking at March before she becomes effective(if then).

I will be happy if she is playing well by March.

She averaged 10 points a game last year. Her scoring fell off as OU ran deeper into conference play.

Noticed while looking this up that KK lead the league in FG % last year. I didn't know that stat.

She started faltering when Peyton took off. I think she became indecisive about shooting and that affected other parts of her game. She was coming back towards the end of the season.

I also wish she would redshirt. I think it would be best for her, however, having seen her suited up for the last game, I don't think it is going to happen.
