Those types of advantages don't often seem to help. Recruits will get treated like kings at a lot of places. A nice view doesn't hurt, but the players who commit for those reasons aren't the ones you probably want.

As someone from Tampa, that statement is laughable.

I used to live in Mobile (AL) and was afforded the chance to travel in Florida quite a bit. The redneck side of Florida is definitely the panhandle, as well as the rest of the gulf coast in Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana (do they actually have a coast?). Friends used to refer to it as the "redneck riviera".

I never thought Tampa or any part of the lower part of Florida was considered as part of the "redneck riviera". Like any state, they have rednecks who live in the lower part, but the higher concentration was in the panhandle portion.

And, before anyone says anything, I'm a certified redneck so I am able to accurately judge. :ez-laugh:
