Team has landed in Spokane

TUESDAY ... 5:10 pm (Oklahoma Time) ... OU Team has landed ... loaded onto bus ... headed to the hotel.

If I learn more of interest I will post it. I am getting reports from a friend that is traveling with the team. Alas, I could not make the trip this year.

FYI .. Some sports media members like Berry Tramel (The Oklahoman) traveled on the team charter.

Team is staying downtown at the DoubleTree, which is just a short walk from the Arena. It is located on the Spokane River within walking distance to shops, restaurants and popular attractions. Since Ryan Spangler lived in Spokane when he played at Gonzaga, he should make a great “tour guide” for his teammates.

Its 45 degrees, sunny, with snow-topped mountains in view.

Tuesday night ... The players get a Per Diem under NCAA rules. The players have been “out on their own” for supper. They have a film session scheduled for 8:30 pm (PDT) back at the hotel.

Wednesday ... A two hour practice is scheduled to start at 10:30 am (PDT) Wednesday morning at Gonzaga Prep High School. The Sooners will have a press conference and “shoot-around” at Veterans Memorial Arena on Wednesday afternoon.
