If OU weren't in need of a complete overhaul, I might have been able to get behind Evans. I'd like to see him land at a bigger program as an assistant first, but he has been pretty darn successful in his time at UCO.
I'm pretty sure this was a rebuilding year for UCO....dumb to judge him off one year. He's been highly successful at that level and brought that program to heights it's never seen...perspective!
No need to defend Coach Evans...But they are changing conferences and did play a large majority of their games on the road. He's been a good coach at UCO.
Time will tell if OU made the right coaching choice just like it does for every program. Personally I think they did. Where I differ from many that I have had this conversation with is I think the challenges Coach Kruger faces in rebuilding the program are bigger and harder to overcome then they have been in the past. Still I wish him the best!
