Two days after winning AT Kentucky, Baylor gets beat at home by Northwestern (74-70). Mayans?

Also, Texas got their pants pulled down by Georgetown (64-41).

Don't care what anybody thinks. This conference is down. 4th best in the country, maybe?

Thats why if we don't come away with a quality non conference win, the committee is going to not give us any support unless we dominate the big 12.

Well, the only quality non-con team on our schedule, IMO, hammered us. We'll see.

I don't think we really need to worry about the committee giving us support, we are an NIT team at best unfortunately

OSU has a tough one tonight. USF won 2 games in the tourney last year and return all their starters. Their PG is really good and avg 9 assists a game

congrats?

already preparing for failure?

Baylor sucking it up is what hurts the conference the most. I don't mind seeing it happen, but home losses are inexcusable.

They actually didnt return all their starters and have already lost 3 games, but hey, don't sweat the small stuff.

Damn forte looks like another page out there.

That guy for usf was freakin huge

Augustus and Gilchrist were their two best players last year...both are gone.

Yeah -- I said this to someone earlier... Forte is going to be one of those guys who seems like he's in the Big 12 for about a decade.

I call it the "Jake Sullivan Award."

No kidding. He made Jurick, who is a big boy, look small.

:facepalm

Dude. At least look up their record before posting something like this.

USF will probably end up being a nice RPI Top 100 win, that's about it. They aren't going to the tournament this year.

Jurick looked really good last night, the best by far I've ever seen him play. If they can get that out of him every time the Pokes could be pretty solid.

Jurick is the most improved player on the team.

Tearing his achilles last year might be the best thing that's ever happened to him, from a basketball standpoint.

The rehab forced him to lose like 30 pounds, and just seems so much more fluid on the court. He's still a work in progress on the offensive end, but there's no question the guy can play defense and rebound.

He's averaging 6.7 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game, while only averaging about 18.5 minutes per game.

Him losing 30 lbs in the off season has paid huge dividends early. OSU controlled that game pretty effectively even with Nash having a bad game. Jurick was a huge catalyst.

OU is year 2. OSU although it took two years long than I thought, finally seems to have stabilized with players actually reaching their Jr. and Sr. years.

It's my hope that we can be back to some fun basketball rivalry pretty soon.

I still am amazed that Williams and Olukemi started at the 4 when clearly The combination of Cobbins, Murphy and Jurick down low has made this team a legit top 25 team.
