Here are the main players they return:

Enemkpali- I wish we had her.
Sanders
Rodrigo
Davenport
Lang- She could turn out to be pretty good.
McGee-Stafford- I would like to have her too.
Henderson
Jones- the slowest player in the Big 12 who scored 9 points and grabbed 6 boards in 10 minutes of play last night.

These are the players they will add this fall:

Atkins- http://espn.go.com/high-school/girls-basketball/recruiting/player/_/id/121942

McCarty- http://espn.go.com/high-school/girls-basketball/recruiting/player/_/id/137540

Akigbogun- http://espn.go.com/high-school/girls-basketball/recruiting/player/_/id/122208

Foman- http://espn.go.com/high-school/girls-basketball/recruiting/player/_/id/121932

I think they are certainly going to be a major conference contender in the next few years.

Even thought I wasn't impressed by Atkins shes said to be an ellite guard and by her 2nd year Texas could have the best player on the floor unless there playing Uconn.. she's said to be that good! Texas should be top 5 in a few years.

The only one that I would want is Enemkpali, and that is because we don't have one right now. If we had that position covered with Jo, I would probably be wanting someone else to fill what we are lacking most.

I see Texas as good. But, I don't see a final four in that group. What I do see is a coach that has turned Texas around, and I am more interested in watching to see what she does with talent than I am the talent. I've seen "talent" at Texas for years.

Well said. Teams like Baylor and OSU (men's teams) have proven that talent without coaching is usually not much better than no talent at all.

Are you sure of that?

When Texas recruited those last two big centers that didn't do much of anything, they were supposed to have been NBA star quality. When they got Fussell, she was a steal from Tennessee and star quality. When they got Arriaran, she was #1, or so some thought.

It's almost like they had Mack Brown doing the evaluation, although even that is probably more Bobby Burton. Every Texas recruit is a star. But, Texas has been totally lackluster in recent years.

We are having the typical Texas year, and we are unhappy.

How can anyone not be impressed with Enemkpali, Atkins, and McCarty??? Texas hasn't had 3 players like that in many years.

1, They will only be together one year, when two are freshmen.

2. Would you like to have some fun. Go look at the Texas rosters for the past ten years to see how many All-American superstars they recruited. Their 2008-09 roster was invincible, when recruited. They have had more great posts than AT&T: Aubrey Cook, Ashley Gayle, Cokie Reed----the list goes on.

What happened in 2008 has nothing to do with what Texas is doing now.

It's not even the same coach, and they are playing pretty good this year. It's been said Atkins has skills like that of some guy players, she could be really good.

Everyone raves about Atkins. Actually, I'm looking forward to watching her play. I hope we have some good battles with the horns the next few years.

I hope we have some good battles too, and I hope we win every one of them by at least 30 points. :D

Funny. I've heard people say that Ortiz is pretty good. I read an article that said that Penzo was a magician. I see stories that tell me that Pierre-Louis is a potential superstar. I've heard great things about Laneisha Williams.

I'm hopeful. But, I want to see them at D-1, in a game.

When I look at videos, I find myself wondering who that person is playing against, as well as whether they do this all the time, or only in highlight films.

Syb, I've noticed that you rave about every player we sign and never like players who sign with other teams, especially Baylor and Texas.

And, I've noticed just the opposite about you.

Strange how we have a winning record.

I've noticed this as well Norm, I like players on the sooners team, but I like players on other teams also.

Exactly! There is no reason to be jealous when a great player goes somewhere else, even if it's to play for a rival.

From what I've read Texas has an outstanding class coming in. I really like what OU has coming in as well. You take Pierre- Louis, Williams, Penzo, Ortiz, toss in Little, I know Peyton is a transfer, but she's new to us and I think OU is bringing in some very good talent. We've only seen a handful of games from Maddie as a freshman, there's no telling what she can do. Texas and OU both should be on a huge upswing. It will be very interesting to see how things turn out on the court for both teams.
