If it is true that Battle initiated the contact and Palmer hit her in retaliation, I do not agree with Tech for kicking him off the team. Yes, he should be suspended for a period of time but it does make a difference that she attacked him first. If Barncastle would have retailiated and slugged Griner after being hit, I think most people would have cheered and believed she had every right to do so. Now, while a guy hitting a girl should NEVER occur, it is somewhat forgiveable if she slugged him first and he reacted out of reflex.

Saw in today's " Norman Transcript" that the young man has been reinstated. He will have to sit out the first three games. Kingsbury said as new information came to light the dismissal was revisited.

The next paragraph mentions what we already knew.....that she admitted to shoving him first and will sit out games in November.
