Texas to sell beer at sporting events

Or, you could have a bunch of drunk idiots sitting near you, spilling beer on the kids, fighting, and cussing. I think it'd probably be possible to teach them without the annoying, tasteless, real life show and tell.
How often have you encountered such behavior at events where alcohol sales are allowed?

Often. And sadly, some my aquaintances.

But it wouldn't matter if it was just once, that's one too many.

if the arena was closer to campus corner it would greatly help attendance

Baloney! Dorms and apartments are just as close to LNC as they are to main campus and most students don't live on campus and the largest apartment complexes are in the SE part of Norman, which is closer to LNC than the main campus.

I agree. The location of the LNC is a weak excuse for attendance. It is probably less than 1 mile from the dorms. It is likely closer to South Greek than the Library.

Is it a problem at professional sports?

When I lived in Denver CU sold beer at both football and basketball initially. Football games became a problem and they stopped selling beer. They continued at basketball. I went to a few games and never noticed any problems. I have no idea if they still sell beer at basketball.

At UT they sell beer at basketball in the donor or alumni lounge (I don't know the actual name but I have been to it). Sales only occur prior to the game and at half time. It is an older crowd and I saw no issues when I attended.

Beer is so expensive at an NBA game that when I have bought them in the past I made darn sure I didn't spill any. But I'm sure accidents have happened with drinking any thing from a concession stand. Should we stop selling food or drinks all together because they could create a mess?

I'm not against selling beer at a college game environment. But I can understand the other side of it.

Had some drunks throw up behind us at a thunder game. Didn't bother us! Just made for better memories!

And think of the stories the ou fan can tell from the sugar bowl bc of the bama superman drunk fan
