Texas lost Jatarie White and Sedona Prince, who never played. They don't have the guards that they have had, and Holmes and Collier don't seem to be enough. I don't know if this year's team is capable of contending for #2, much less #1 in the conference. South Florida didn't shoot well from three (5 for 23), but they were better than Texas who couldn't even outshoot their opposition in an exhibition game, Lubbock Christian (Texas won by 83-73, but were outshot from three, 9-24 to 8-23). Only 1-9 against South Florida.
Only five players scored against South Florida, and one of those scored 2. The rest of the team was 0-6 from the field and 0-2 from the line in 59 minutes.
