They list Buddy at #19. Georges Niang is at #6. Perry Ellis #21. KU had a couple of freshman on the list after Ellis. Rico Gathers from Baylor is #48. I also noticed former Sooner recruit Allonzo Trier got an honorable mention.

The #1 player is Ben Simmons from LSU. OU will play them in Baton Rouge on January 30th as part of the Big 12/SEC challenge. Simmons is a versatile 6-foot-10 forward who can do it all. Lamar Odom? Ceiling higher than Andrew Wiggins? Point guard handle for a big man, and if he can develop a reliable jumper, the Magic Johnson chatter will begin.

Draft express has Buddy ranked #41.

This isn't a draft list, it's a best player in CBB list.\

And regardless, the idea that this guy has any idea who the 50 best players are IN ORDER, is laughable. The whole idea of a national CBB "expert" is laughable. It's hard enough to keep up with the teams from one conference, let alone all of them.

That list really likes KU. They have three guys in the top 35 and two that just missed the top 50. So if that list is correct, KU should run away with the Big XII. I don't see that happening.

When I read some of the stats for forwards, I was thinking Spangler does that. I also think Cousins will out play some of the guards. I hope Woodard makes a push for First Team All Conference this year. I am not saying he will win it, I just hope he is in the conversation as the top pg in the conference. If his shooting percentage goes up and he doesn't have the early season turn overs he had last year, his numbers should be spectacular.

Cousins is definitely a guy who could blow up this year. I don't see Woodard being in contention for first team all-conference, but honestly we just need him to be solid.

I don't think he can win it this year but if his shooting is more consistent, they tighten up the calls on driving as they have suggested they will and he doesn't have the early season turnovers he had last season, he is probably going to post some really impressive numbers.

Ben Simmons? For those who remember, Dave Simmons, Ben's dad, was a 6'9" forward playing at Oklahoma City University in the 1980s. He was a really good player and played pro ball in Australia. I'm betting Dave knew Ricky Grace. Might have been worth a stab.
