I don't think the Basketball Gods had OU winning that one. What a bizarre game.

* That one spurt in the second half where Lattin blocked the shot that led to a wide open missed layup by Cousins, which led to a wide open dunk for Hawaii on the other end.

* Then multiple times when they got stops in the second half, they'd turn the ball over on wild outlet passes etc.

* Khadeem Lattin was the second-leading scorer behind Hield.

* And then to not make a field goal from the 8:55 mark on and still hold on. Wow.

Eek. "A win is a win" :D

Quick look up, when was the last time a team didn't make a fg in the last 9 minutes and won?

Probably one of Sampson's teams lol

Lol

This game makes me an even bigger believer in this team. The team played poorly against a good team (IMO), nothing seemed to go right for the majority of the game and we still won. Reminds me of teams playing Kentucky, Kansas, Duke etc. when you play so well and are right there all night but still can't win.

The Big 12 tournament championship game against Mizzou in Dallas comes to mind. I think we won 49-47 in a terribly ugly fashion.

We need tomorrow off and then get that ship!

Any road win is a good win. It has always been so.

"The Basketball Gods and Hawaii" did seem to be against the Sooners. I think most of us expected to be playing Northern Iowa tonight on a neutral court. That would have been easier. Instead OU got the Hawaii team that ran over Northern Iowa; an inspired Hawaii team playing in front of their home crowd.

Good win. A win that the coaches can use to get the guys attention. Sometimes it takes a loss to do that.

On the early season journey to 10-0, we had to expect some close calls along the way.
