Things I noticed

There seemed to be a lot more urgency against ISU. Played harder, went after the 50/50 balls a lot harder. Rebounding was more aggressive. Only thing this team didn't do well is shoot (Except Buddy). Those shot will fall on other nights.
Lattin had so many opportunities to score from mid range, those guys weren't even guarding him. Next year he will be taking those any time they give it to him.

Great game, even when they weren't winning it felt as though they were playing well enough defense that they were going to win.

I agree with you and I really think there is a lot to others saying this team was tired.

I feel like this team lost interest in the regular season when the conference title was out of reach. I suspect they have been subconsciously looking forward to post-season play. The big question is whether they could "flip the switch" in the post-season. They certainly did with effort, but the shooting touch is still not there for Cousins & Woodard. Luckily it only takes one amazing game to get out of a slump.

We competed and played at a different level yesterday - was extremely happy with the effort. I mean shooting 4-21 from 3 and winning against a top 20 team ? Didn't think would be possible if you asked me 2 weeks ago.

Yep...I noticed that as well. IMO, we looked like we were "playing for something" last night. You could definitely see the difference.

Yeah, and remember: We made something like 17 treys when we played them at Ames. AND WE STILL LOST THE GAME.

So I guess anything is possible with this team.

The first half, Woodard played some pressure D and got a couple of steals.
It will take more defensive effort to beat WV.
