Sitting here watching The Wayman Tisdale Story! This has brought tears to my eyes! He was an inspiration and makes me proud to be a sooner!!

I can't believe the lord has blessed me to be apart of such a incredible university! Boomer Sooner! Retweet if your proud to be a sooner!

i got teary eyed everytime i stopped on nbatv tonite... cant believe he left so soon...

I ended up watching it twice. I know that we are allegedly a "football school" but I think that Wayman may the GOAT Sooner athlete. Stupid question, but does he have a statue at OU? If not he should.

If we need an excuse other than how awesome Wayman is/was/always will be, he won an Olympic gold medal. We could have a tribute to OU gold medalists park.

I agree. He did as much for the school as he did for the basketball program. He was such a good ambassador for the state of Oklahoma, the university, and the athletic dept as a whole.

He is my favorite OU athlete of all time and it's really not even close between him and 2nd place.

That big smile was always present. I can still remember he scored so many points in the games that Treps would quit saying "Tisdale for the score" and would also simply say "WAYMAN" or "Mr T".

Watching the documentary today for the first time, and I still can't believe he's gone. The entire time in the show he was flashing that smile and some parts of that weren't long before he passed. He looked so weak and frail compared to how he looked 10 years before. He knew he was dying but refused to let it ruin his day or take his smile.

Osby seems like a great kid. Glad we have him at OU. Oh and that Wayman guy seems alright as well...:)

God Bless Wayman Tisdale.

I remember Treps gave him the nickname Wonderful Wayman Tisdale!!!!! I heard Billy T. call him that on the radio a few weeks ago, and it brought back great memories. # 23 was the complete package on and off the court.....
