news in KC has about a 5 minute deal last night at 10 about this...showed barnes loving on him, Ford commenting, promoted the fact ut had 80 former student athletes graduate.

Guess, I'm thinking with ku/ksu/mu all "local" colleges why would they do a story on ut...:fexas-logo:

This makes me feel old because I refereed a couple of the Willowridge HS games when TJ played here in Houston. They were loaded and won a couple of state championships. I remember another player off that team was an All-American and signed with Duke (Daniel Ewing).
 
TJ Ford helped ruin Hollis' Senior Night. For that, I can never forgive him, college degree or not. lol

The love Barnes was showing T J Ford was well deserved. T. J. brought UT basketball out of the doldrums and launched a prosperous career for Barnes in the bargain. OU and Kelvin Sampson owned UT before Ford entered the picture.

Billy was 5-1 or something against Tom Penders before that. and Penders had some decent horn teams. elite 8 season....consistent NCAA team.

Kenny Taylor from that team played at Baylor and so was OSU's Ivan McFarlin.

That team was so good but I'm pretty sure only one of them was actually zoned for Willowridge. They had to forfeit nearly their whole season one year because McFarlin was supposed to go to a different high school.
