"I've certainly learned a lot this year about guys on our team, about our program and about me as a coach," Capel said. "It will do one of two things: It will make you want to get out, or it will make you want to work harder."

I know he's not going anywhere, but he'd look really bad if he left after making that comment. I think Capel is a great coach, but I also think he took it on the chin from this group of players. I can't imagine having that much talent to work with and having them act like buffoons for a large part of the season. There is no doubt in my mind that this season will affect his future recruiting strategy.

Also, there is plenty of time for all of these guys to pull it together and have great careers at OU. I just hope they do because another year like this would be very bad for Capel.

it would have been nice of sittler if he hadn't cut short that quote from capel. but that would have taken away from his snazzy wrap-up, in which capel said he would do exactly that, work harder.
