Seeing all of those guys that I grew up watching all together on the same court was unreal. A few times I found myself almost getting misty-eyed... guess I'm getting old.

This was the best thing to happen to OU basketball in a long time, and this program needed it. Props to Coach Kruger.

Watching the video tribute to the 2002 Final Four team was awesome, but that one still hurts.

Sad to see Anthony Bowie go down like that, sure hope its not too serious but it looked like it was.

Godbold was awesome, tying it up twice (the first "3" was waved off because Bliss called a timeout).

Loudest ovation was for Hollis Price, followed closely by Blake Griffin.

I wish they would have mentioned Wayman Tisdale. He is the most important person in this programs history in my opinion, a mention would have been nice.

Wasn't sure how I'd feel about Sampson and Bliss being there... still kind of questioning the Bliss thing, but talking to Kelvin after the event he sure seemed like he was humbled by the love, almost as if he really needed it... glad he was there.

I'm all over the place, just wanted to share my thoughts. I'm excited for the future, it may be a slow process but what I saw today showed me that there are people who really care about this program and thats a good thing. I saw Joe C congratulating and really giving it up to Kruger, seemed like they were both a little in awe of how well it all went.

Agree with every word of this. Not sure what to think of the Bliss thing. I imagine if Tubbs had been there he would have coached the crimson team. Just felt strange, not that it was a big deal at all.

I agree that Sampson looked very touched by the reception he got. It was hard for me to tell but it looked like he was tearing up a bit during the halftime ceremony.

I got really worried when I realized they had forgotten to introduce Kellen to the crowd. Has anyone been so connected to the program over the last 20 years? He loved OU basketball as a fan, a player, and a coach. Was really glad someone got Toby's attention to make sure he got recognized.

Godbold keeps making clutch shots...

I couldn't agree more, WF! There were so many nice touches in the way today's event was handled, I can't possibly name them all. From the greeting at the entrance by the poms, to the autographs session after the game, this was a near perfect day for OU BB fans.

My only disappointment is that I wasn't able to get Blake's autograph for our grandson in another state. BG was surrounded by so many fans, I couldn't get close to him without elbowing my my way through a swarm of women and children. I did get Taylor and HP's autograph, plus a few others, though. That little guy in NC will be mighty proud to dispaly the OU t-shirt his Papaw got him! :)

I left the LNC today remembering why it is that I love OU basketball. Just a wonderful day getting to see so many of my favorite Sooners having a good time on the court and on the sideline.

Major props to marketing, the coaching staff, the AD, the pride and cheer, and everyone else who put this together. It was a wonderful event. :clap

For a man who has yet to coach his first game as a Sooner, I thought Coach Kruger got a very warm welcome from the fans in attendance. I think the fans were as appreciative of him putting this together as the players were.

Yes, it was incredible. Impressed that John McCollough can still play; Great to see LL strut his stuff, Choo made me smile, Kelvin reminded me of OU teams that were tough, Hollis was and is my favorite; The 2002 video reminded me of HOW GOOD OU WAS AND WILL BE AGAIN!

Let's get this thing rolling again, Cruncher. Rally the troops for November. :)

There was a time that I (and many others, I believe) feared that the OU BB fire was just about snuffed out. Today the embers were fanned and a roaring fire began! It only needs to be fed, to become great, again.

We received a shot of great memories, followed by a HOPE chaser!

And wouldn't it be nice to have a pep band of that size for every home game! :clap:clap:clap

That's what I was thinking as well. I am not sure where we would necessary put them but it would be pretty sweet to have.
