tommy cut from d-league

Dude was really, really good offensively. If he had stuck around for his junior or senior year, he would have been an absolute monster.

I'm astonsihed that Capel even yet doesnt recognize tha he is not capable of doing college level work. 8th-9th grade and that's about it. Makes me wonder about Capel's judgment.

LOL...at first I thought you were saying Capel should be coaching 8th-9th grade basketball, then I realized you were saying Tommy is academically on an 8th-9th grade level.

I was just about to start a thread for everyone to get out before she implodes. I just knew the wrath of Cal40, WaymanFan, Bounce, BrimmBall and other Capel supporters was going to blow the top off this place. :D

I think it's bad to play a guy that basically didn't care about the college game and wasn't really college material. Yes I'm aware it happens all the time just look at Calipari's players. But there's not many guys that can cheat enough to get those type of freaks consistently and actually still be coaching.

TMG come on guys, the kid was a joke, he didn't care about anyone else but himself. He will never make it because you have to at least try to play some d, to be on part of a team. If he never plays basketball outside of the ymca, I am ok with that.

You know we can say all these things and most of what is said has been on point. I just hope somewhere down the line the lights come on for this young man and we do not read or hear that tragic story about him. Good Luck TMG, remember you are the only one that walks in your shoes!

If he wants to play pro ball he and he isnt willing to improve his defense he will have to play overseas...they expect each American to lead them in scoring or be up there or they let you go, so he can at least fill that expectation...Heck, Stevie Franchise got booed out of the arena in Russia and is back home in Houston because he cant fill it up anymore...

Defensively he just doesnt have the will...he has all the tools to be good on that end...

I think Steve is playing in China right now.
