Top 25 recruiting rankings

I was actually thinking top 15 but, I admit I might be a bit biased. :)

OU has only two commitments Ortiz is listed at #41 and Williams at 192. All of the schools in the top 25 have 3 commitments except for five schools in which both are their recruits are ranked in the top 121 better. Notre Dame #5 and #36, Tennessee #22 and #43. Marquette #46 and #92, USC #66 and #120 and North Carolina State #77 and #121.

To me the significance of three commitments vs two is more important in the PN rankings. Also the #192 is 71 places less than the worst ranked player than other ranked two commitment schools. Also if you look at the average ranking of the two commitment schools USC's average is #93, NCS's is 99 and OU's is 116.5.

I would say their team ranking are consistent with their individual ranking and PN is not giving Ortiz's #41 ranking relative significance to USC's #66 and NCS's #77.

Maybe we can hire Mack Brown. We can have highly-rated classes that never win.

Oh, wait. Texas and Rutgers already have that.

Rutgers is an unusual case. Stringer can't keep kids in her program and she can't coach.

You can't count Texas as this is only Aston's second year. She is recruiting like she means it and that could signal they are on their way back.

I did get a response to my email. Chris said OU is right on the bubble to make the top 25 and he thinks Ortiz is a great player. They didn't comment on Williams.
