Not great competition here but still, some of the movement & skill at his size is notable.

Seems like a Tae Davis type, not where Davis is yet. Maybe more upside though.

I understand what most are saying, but also understand we haven’t had some of the success as other teams…so in turn we have to be patient and evaluate correctly!! Now the reason for not so much success, that can fall and should fall on the head ma in charge. So I guess maybe a catch 22

The only thing I like about that roster is that it will definitely get PoMo fired next season.

If we keep Brown and Reid, I think we have to add at least one REALLY good player to the roster. A difference maker. I don't see that here. And Barrett cannot be a starter. Not yet at least. He shot 21% from 3 last year. Off the bench? Maybe. But if our two guards off the bench are Barrett and Forsythe, again, that isn't going to cut it.

Boothe hasn't done much, but if he is willing to come and backup the 4, I suppose we could do worse.

The HS kid, Mayfield, I'd be very hesitant at penciling him in. Sounds like he is currently a small 4 that needs development.

You can get by with some of that is we're landing a guard to play alongside Brown like Hill Jr. or Burton. Maybe even Mingo. What I don't like about Burton and Mingo is that both are coming from programs that didn't win squat. Don't know that. They also don't shoot it well from 3. Hill Jr. at least comes from a team that one and he shoots it pretty well.

Another guard I like is the Tylen Riley kid from Tulsa. I don't really like starting him next to Brown*, but if Brown were to leave, or if you could convince Riley to be the first guard off the bench that plays a lot, I like his game.

*Wanted to get bigger and don't know that they'd mesh well.

Agreed. I’ve been to a handful of TU games and have watched them several times. This kid can play and I’d love to get him. Ideally, he would be a first guard off the bench type of player…and we could land one of our top 3 guard targets… but he might be too good to come off the bench. He’s not a high volume shooter like Pack, but can hit the outside shot and is great and driving to the hoop…and is an excellent FT shooter.
