That makes me feel better, Coach. A little worried about the 4 spot. I think pretty highly of Rooths, but he's still an unknown. Mayfield is raw. We can move Reid to 4 in a pinch, but we don't have enough big guards to play a lineup like that. Neither Rogers no Gak could defend the four in a switching scenario, which makes things tough. Too many mismatches and not enough rebounding.

Need at least one more shooter and one more guy who can put in SEC minutes at the 4.

I find it hard to believe Moser would play more than 9 guys in the rotation. But some competition for the depth wouldn’t be bad if it’s cheap.

9 guys is not enough to even practice with. Guys get injured, take rest days, etc. You have two guys sitting, and you're practicing with 7 guys. Can't scrimmage, can't run shells, etc. Don't get game-type reps / conditioning, etc. Need 11 to 12 guys that can go. Keefe can be one of those for us, but need 10 or 11 guys besides.

If it is Gak, I'm not sure how he would be eligible. He never signed a NBA deal so he is good there, but as I understand it the 5 year clock starts the academic year after you graduate high school or your 19th birthday. Gak is the high school class of 2021, born in July 2002. It seems his last season of eligibility would be this past season, but who truly knows with the NCAA. If someone has a different understanding of the rule curious to know what it is..
