True or false

Unlike the last several years there is not a dominant favorite coming back in the Big 12. I would answer false for any of the teams...all five mentioned have good players coming back but they all have holes to be filled.

Yes Baylor will return to earth next year and I dislike Kim and Baylor also...she clearly is a poor loser and will bend the rules to do whatever it takes to win...the end justifies the means to Kim. But you are kidding yourself if you don't think Baylor has a lot of talent on next year's team...they will be in the hunt for the conference title.

I think we will be near the top, Aaryn is a legit CPOY candidate so I think we will have a great season. I think WVU will be the team to beat next year there returning post would have been a wnba 1st round pick had she been able to play. I don't think Baylor will win the big 12 next year, thought they could still be good like Noter dame this year, I'm also sure they will be playing with a lot of motivation next season.

I think so too. They have the best point guard in the league and they will not be void of talent at the other positions. They will be competitive if they stay healthy.

I share your distaste for Mulkey. And agree that they have a bunch of talent to go with Odyssey Sims.

But their days of kicking a$$ in the Big 12 are over with the departure of Griner and her fellow seniors.
Now I know how fans of other teams felt when Adrian Peterson departed for the Bigs.... difference is, the other fans didn't have to suffer through 4 years of AD.

I say true. This is it for the seniors. Hook, Ellenberg, Durrret, and Griffen. They should play lights out. Added depth and players back from injury. I do wish that Hand would stay on as a teaching assistant. 2014 will be a big year for recruiting. I feel something magical next year.

If Kaylon comes back at 100%, I think we have a reasonably good chance to win it. If Kaylon is limited, I don't think we are likely to win. Portia isn't the player that Kaylon is and we can't have any holes in the lineup and win the conference championship.

I'll think about a more complete analysis later - but I'm still immersed in this season, and there's more games to play.

You're always on top of life in the Big 12: I'm most interested in hearing your thoughts as to which team might be the best contender to replace Baylor at the top of that conference?

While Baylor is bound to drop nationally after the Griner-led senior class leaves, I'm not altogether sure they're going to drop that much in the Big 12. Lots of teams are losing important seniors this season, not just Baylor. I think Oklahoma - if healthy, which is a big "if" in this sport - is probably in the best position to overtake Baylor at the top of the standings next season. I'll be curious to see how West Virginia does in its second B12 season, and things can only get better for Texas. But I swear to you I'm not going to be utterly shocked if Baylor finds a way to win the league again next year.
